"What I most liked about the retreat was the spiritual reflection at the end whereby the kids got time to reflect on what they had learned in a quiet calm atmosphere and the team quietly moved towards each child in their group and talked to them, this was a nice touch." Ms Corey, Teacher, St Paul's National School, Rathmullen, Drogheda

NOVEMBER 2010

"The retreat team at Adventure Retreats Ireland are inspiring and courageous young people who have touched the hearts of so many in the community in such a short time. They are a great support with the local parish, the folk group, the Confirmation and First Holy Communion classes in the local school. We look forward to their new Sunday youth programme in St Michael's Hall, Cootehill. We are very proud to have them with us" Fr Paul Casey, Curate, Drumgoon Parish, Cootehill, Co. Cavan

"The class thoroughly enjoyed the day as did the staff. It was extremely well organised from begining to end and compared to our usual retreat that even without the adventure activities it was more enjoyable and engaging especially with the "drama." Claire Chapman, TY Coordinator, Colaiste Mhuire, Dublin.

JANUARY 2011

"There is a real spark in the year group since the retreat, I've noticed this at prayer time, thanks so much for the retreat. The format seemed to work well and I will certainly recommend it to my colleagues." Aoife Daly Chaplain, Boyne Community School, Trim.

"It was fantastic, the confirmation retreat programme is very well devised and they know exactly how to pitch it. They're young people themselves who are committed to their faith so the children can relate to them -they talk their language. The children are much better prepared now and I'd highly recommend it." Maire Mullally, Principal St Paul's Parish, Ayrfield National School, Dublin 13.

"It was a great blessing to see such young people inspired in their faith. They brought the Sacrament alive for the children because they themselves are alive. We hope to have you back before our confirmation day for a refresher." Fr Tom Colreavy, Parish Priest Ayrfield, Dublin 13

"You have a great team with so much energy ideas and, of course, faith!" Fr Jimmy McPhillips, PP Killanny

MARCH 2011

"Thank you so much for a wonderful day yesterday, the lads enjoyed themselves immensely.
Myself and Val would like to thank you also for being very welcoming and taking care of us so well.
It was so interesting hearing the lads speaking about the day on the way home before they all crashed out asleep.
They had an understanding about how Jesus was linked into their lives in a way that they never thought about before, for that I thank you.
You all are an inspiration for young people, i felt re-engerised going home. Its so nice to see people embrace their faith and use it to encourage others.
I will definitely be back and I will be spreading the word of Adventure Retreats Ireland , a truly brilliant day.
Take care
God Bless."

APRIL 2011

Very favourable response from the students. Each activity was excellently timed for them. Work done in small groups was good quality. I also thought the sharing was powerful for the boys - well done to your dedicated staff. The prayer element was beautiful: how it was managed and the personal touch was very moving. Everyone received quality time, the boys spoke warmly about their experience - I believe it did touch their lives. I would certainly consider a follow up retreat. It was a great experience.
